Hari Lingkungan Hidup Dunia

One color for the future adalah sebuah tema yang mengobarkan semangat untuk bersama-sama menghijaukan (kembali) lingkungan di sekitar kita. Hari Lingkungan Hidup Sedunia 2011 dilaksanakan pada 5 Juni 2011.

Peringatan Hari Lingkungan Hidup Sedunia (World Environment Day) menjadi momentum untuk merangsang kesadaran publik seluruh dunia akan pentingnya menjaga kelestarian lingkungan hidup. Tema Hari Lingkungan Hidup Sedunia pada tahun 2011 adalah “Forests: Nature at your Service” dengan peringatannya akan dipusatkan di New Delhi India. Sedangkan tema Hari Lingkungan Hidup Indonesia 2011 menjadi “Hutan Penyangga Kehidupan”. Pemilihan tema ini disesuaikan dengan tahun 2011 yang dideklarasikan PBB sebagai Tahun Hutan Internasional (International Year of Forest). Tahun Hutan Internasional sendiri mengangkat tema “Forests for People“.
